Chandrashekhar Gopinathan leads responsible investment research at Insight Investment, the BNY-owned global asset and risk manager, which he joined in December 2024. His work covers sustainability-related research across fixed income, climate transition risk, sovereign credit and policy engagement.
Before Insight he spent four years at Railpen, the investment manager for the UK railways pension scheme, as a Senior Investment Manager responsible for climate strategy, credit and external manager selection. Earlier, he spent ten years at Rogge Global Partners (now part of Allianz Global Investors) as a Senior Credit Analyst, and worked in structured finance at Morgan Stanley and Wachovia Securities. He began his career in 2000 as an Associate Analyst at Moody's.
He holds an MS in Financial Engineering from Columbia University, the CAIA designation and the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK.
